  This Massachusetts friend of mine was unemployed for six months .The first thing she did was sign up for and get UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE of 500$ a week. Then she began her job search immediately and had a few job interviews a week for all of those months, not a single bite. But she met with a new company a few times during the last few weeks and finally got hired! Look at what she gets! Over a thousand a week and perqs galore.

(new job pays twice a month 15th and 30th of the month) but not daycare, but I don't have a child so... OKAY. I hope this is my final career destination.

She continues: "I thank God/ my Angels for my family and friends who were kind enough to lend me $3,000 to get through the past few months. They were so kind and put no conditions on the pay back. They told me to pay them when I can. Unemployment ends this week, sneaky government left $116 on my account so I will not get my full weekly benefit which should have been $509. Why complain? The Gov took care of her for six long months. All she needed. Thank God for the activists who created such entitlements as unemployment insurance. DON'T GIVE UP! The Moral of this story is continue the job search while you can afford to do so, meaning parents or family is helping you with food/ rent.  The six month search without success means TAKE ANY JOB IN A PINCH, EVEN IF YOU LOATHE it. CLERKING for THE BIG CORPORATIONS is a bore, alienated labor as Karl Marx called it but Get Real! We are in a Major DEPRESSION so don’t be too fussy, Logic  recommends that you get any job and also pursue some form of entrepreneurialism along with that boring job, so you can dump the boring one fast... meaning a garage business that you create for your self out of hobbies, interests... or maybe for an equally jobless brother or nephew. You can run a well chosen business with him in your off hours.) One woman had a dull job in software services. She was amazed that the company charged banks to store data. She got a server in her garage and started picking up clients. First year made 22 million. Went public capitalized at 444 million. Read her book --she's SANDRA KURTZIG, "CEO" Bet after a week she wanted to leave that job. SO KEEP an eye peeled for what they're doing there and what you're LEARNING. JOHN D ROCKEFELLER, the original back in 19th century, a clerk bookkeeper for a big MISSISSIPPI RIVER shipping firm was a lowly shipping clerk, learned the biz and started his own. Go skate at Rockefeller center some day and think about that. OR, as he started earning at age FIVE, breeding turkeys, READ HIS BIO.

Another thought. Rich people are always looking to invest in something outside of STOCKS. BRAINSTORM UP a list of the ten best businesses that you could do. (Click on that and read as it has unusual suggestions for how you find the OFF THE WALL destiny/talents/ proclivities that you tend to forget.) Write your PROSPECTUS, hand it out to all your neighbors, parents' family friends.....as ONE IN THREE will invest. And with those investors, start your cottage industry, based on your own hobbies and talents.

HOWEVER, the DUAL TRACK SUCCESSFUL person continues to pursue a job.  SEND OUT YOUR RESUME to the big corps. You are going to get 40 hours a week employment, good money, some perqs. And to make it EASY,  Visit a site called  Job-Applications.com  It is a resource that provides hundreds of printable and online applications for retail stores, department stores, pharmacies, grocery stores, restaurants, shops,  etc.  Its a great way for jobless people to find part time and full time work quickly! And continue to EXPAND HOBBIES into CASH... DO YOUR OWN WEBSITE, GET AD REVENUE. CUT & STYLE HAIR, PET WALK, look at OTHER WAYS TO GET MONEY in your off hours.

Over l00 people answered, all with great resumes. There's the seed of a great business there. Think it over. Even if you're NOT handy, hire two guys who ARE and toodle around in an old truck with some tools. (NOTE: I'd done the same AD on Craigs list  the year before the recession and NOBODY ANSWERED!)

LOVE that Craigs List. Nowadays I'm looking for nature-loving CAMPERS  to accompany my son PROSPECTING FOR GOLD AND GEMS in the nearby MOUNTAINS. In one day two guys with shovels and picks can make several thousand dollars. My boy is Mr. Mom the rest of the week,4 kids. His wife has a parttime job as a librarian.

START LIFTING WEIGHTS - You can work in the Oil Industry as American oil is starting to be a very good business. THE OIL FIELDS NEED STRONG MEN. They pay very well, too. CHECK OUT the pay and the LIFE in the DAKTOA OIL FIELDS  If your son buys property there, no taxes. Those long winters are good for focusing on the at-home carpentry workshop where one makes FREE MATERIAL  WOOD-ART.   BUT YOU SELL IT FOR HUNDREDS. START ANONYMOUS, Guerilla style,underground. LEGALIZE SLOWLY after you have serious profits, a stash. My gal pal started her landscaping biz. Went to licensing bureau to get her resale number, told them she was poor. They gave it to her for any pro tem period she wanted, FREE.  But if they don't do that for you, Think GUERILLA CAPITALISM as you start off in your entrepreneurial cottage industry. After all, did our GOV PROSECUTE EVEN ONE of those  thieves on Wall Street and the felonious MORTGAGE DERIVATIVE INVENTOR-BANKS? Did they give any Bank managers and the criminal POLITICIANS who made casino banking legal when they abrogated the GLASS/STEAGALL act one day in the calaboose?  (These cursed "capitalist tools" went on to legislate TARP MONEY to bail out greedy CASINO BANKERS who'd knowingly rooked smaller banks & racked up the economy in 2008, plundering banks across the world. Executing or Hanging the profiteering Oilmen who pay no taxes and those Pentagon war hungry Generals seeking fruit salad and promotions and all those Thousand dollar screwdriver WAR-TOY MANUFACTURERS would REALLY help America exit all recessions permanently. That you can do as an activist. (COUCH POTATO ACTIVISM IS EASY!) You can be in charge of that, encharge the kiddies with doing the online work, a twelve year old could do it. But meantime, inbetween time, the little guy's gotta eat not pay taxes for war. SO ENTER THE WORLD OF UNDER THE TABLE!

A little  guerilla capitalism is the guaranteed smart move. CATCH YA LATER, IRS. There is serious joblessness. Newspapers only print the fake stats, the dummy figures that the Gov gives them, saying that there's 11% joblessness (in my state California) a figure that does not take into account folks who gave up looking. Joblessness really is as high as it was in the 1929 depression. 25% jobless. So it's time for the MOSCOW MANEUVER    ROOMIES! Try screening film ZHIVAGO and think five rent payers in a big, old shack of a house, kind of like  living at home with one's siblings AND parents. ACROSS STREET from me, a 5bdrm garden house is renting for $3450. FIVE FOLKS SHARING is 700 each. AVOCADO TREE in back yard is 50 yrs old, loaded. Imagine five chums or Relatives all packed into one house. Or wall off some section, give it a path and a back door, it's a sleeping porch or guest  house. 

THE OBAMA CONTRIBUTION TO THE JOBLESS RECOVERY? NOTHING! Zilch. Nada. Zip! Cuz HE WAS KING when WALL ST Went KERPLUNK in 08.
