FACIALS- Best facial, besan flour, yogurt, tumeric applied to face for a half hour. Besan is garbanzo flour, avail Hindu/ Arabic markets. Makes great pakoras too. Mix aloe leaf juice and apply with avocado skins, the ‘meat’ left inside, a fine oil. It takes off the ash on the skin, that dried layer. FRUGAL OILS BETTER THAN COSTLY! USE ALMOND OIL as a cosmetic. It is available at fine super markets. ALL the oils in commercial cosmetics are junk. Read labels on department store face creams, all synthetic! They can be l00$ a jar and be junk. Plain ole ALMOND oil ends up being much cheaper and really makes your skin like a baby’s. Nightly do elbows, knees, feet and hands with it. Wear cotton socks to bed. Also natural, COCONUT OIL, from healthfood store. Have cotton sweats to wear if you put it on your body and go to bed.
ALSO NATURAL, LANOLIN OIL IS BEST: “BAG BALM” from any FEED AND GRAIN store where Farmers use it for udders. It’s made of great lanolin -- a natural oil.
Deepak Chopra taught his students to use the cured sesame oil every day all over the body, then sleep. In the morning, shower any residues that weren’t inhaled by the body. If time doesn't allow you ro put the oil all over the body, then at least do the lymph points, behind the knees, ankles, elbows, behind the ears.
HAIR CARE: Seek out a genuine castile soap, not any commercial shampoo. Healthfood stores like WHOLE FOODS have unscented Dr. Bronner’s which I scent with a tsp. Of essential oil. Rinse with .....lemon/water strained so the citrus fiber is out of it. Tbsp in cup of water. Vinegar also works to cut the soap, soften.
Same TEMPERATURE caution related to the hot water you use when you shampoo hair. Tepid is better, Moderation is best.
Hair is so good at absorbing oil they use it inside rolls of gauze to pick oil off the surface of the ocean. OIL your hair. Hindu markets have the best oils they use in India, and a shot of rosemary essential oil inside your jar is good. So are the oils mentioned above.
