Luckily, we don't need bookstores where we drop 25$ for one book.Search on the WEB at http://www.bibliofind.com/ and http://www.abebooks.com/and you will be able to see dozens of copies at different USED BOOK STORES and guys with books in boxes in garages, avail all over USA, where the owners LOW-BID AGAINST one another, lowballing themselves and you can order it instantly for a buck or two! I prefer ABE so far but then I HAVE A SYSTEM to write the vendor, not using ABES dollar sucking shopping cart. . Some times you find books selling for 300$ at some book dealers, and the same book for 2$ at another cuz the dealer has no clue what he has. The Nickerson book on real estate is such a classic that you cannot find it cheaply, however. Everyone wants a hundred or two hundred bucks for that old paperback! For that book, only thrift stores, salvation army. And a prayer. But what's neat is you can check odd titles and see what's hot. And check at EBAY too. These vendors are not so savvy about prices. Much cheaper there.

SPIRITUAL NEW AGE BOOKS: I especially like TIMOTHY MILLER’s HOW TO WANT WHAT YOU HAVE, also the work of Dr. Tuesday Lobsang Rampa, his many Penguin editions are found in used bookstores, in paperback. He was a widely published writer in Britain and USA in the 60's. THE THIRD EYE, CHAPTERS OF LIFE, DR. FROM LLASHA, and many others. AND COLIN WILSON on the OCCULT/ PSYCHIC (he likes studies of criminal minds, I avoid that.)

I'd say that getting off caffeine is req'd, as the soul is everywhere the mind isn't. But later, when you are a Master and a Saint, use it with discretion for mental work. It aids the rational brain in computing faster, so when one TALKS to groups, maybe it's useful.

My favorite mystic is Dr. Richard Alpert of Harvard fame, whose spiritual name was Baba Ram Dass. His books are found at metaphysical bookstores. I'll give you a taste, as I have a few files. If you want them, let me know.

Dr. Alan Watts is interesting to read. He's a Dr of Theosophy, comparative religions, English, friend of Aldous Huxley. It's strange but back in California in the sixties, my girlfriend announced she was marrying a vegetarian named Jules. I was to meet him at a big party held in the Hollywood Hills for Alan Watts. I go into the house, it's the typical, huge glamorous Hollywood party, but everyone's specially interesting as they're part of the spiritual movement. I remember the SHOWER in the bathroom was totally open to the stars and one could bathe and look at a pine tree overhead. Wild house. I see Watts holding forth on the other side of the huge living room. I move to meet him, can't yet hear him, and my girlfriend grabs my elbow, she said, 'want to meet Jules?' She turned me around. I met Jules and never heard one sound out of Watts. Jules has been my guru ever since. Funny? I transcribed 200 of his chapters putting them in HTM and you can get the files sent you. Ask.
