"HURTLIN' HUMANS" or "HOW TO HAVE an ACCIDENT

I just heard a book raved about for two hours on ART BELL, RADIO, "SWAY" about BAD DECISIONS made when poeple HURRY, have deadlines, they lose all decision making ability. These 'hurtlin' humans' consider some spectre of LOSS possible if they don't rush to wherever it is that they are not going to GET TO because they are fated to incur an accident, instead.

Dangers from this behavior in people who live in such HURRY that invariably, they cause a problem to themselves, their families and the world at large. The author adds that totally irrational decisions are made when there's an element of panic and fear of loss of MONEY or not hitting deadlines that they create the very thing they fear, they create the worst case scenario. The author gave the example of the HEAD OF DUTCH AIRLINE's SAFETY BUREAU, who was PILOTING that day, and he was so pressured on TENERIFE ISLAND landing strip over some land and take off fast issue of  save-time/and/money that he took off without clearance, in fog, hit another plane on tarmac, biggest single mortalities-accident in airplane history --over 500 deaths. And he was the head of the safety bureau! He lost all his wisdom and cool due to some money penalty if they're too long on a tarmac during a stopover on this island.

So start now catching yourself when you may be WALKING AROUND IN PANIC OVER an imaginary INDIAN IN THE FOREST and not see the rattle snake coiled next to your foot! So slow down. How? Well, turn off the MIND. If you really focus on 'out there' the mind stops. You start to just drink it in, the details of 'out there,' and you see the beauty and you calm down. In fact, a good way to get a meditative alpha wave when you're upset or thinky is to just focus... on the beauty, the air, the breeze, the view. Instantly, you WILL slow down and be centered and spot the real dangers.
